Party in the Park
Goes off with a bang

Slaughter At Walter E Hall Park

News just in; there have been reports of gunfire at Walter E Hall Part today as a woman was seemingly kidnapped in broad daylight by a number of unnamed assailants. There are a confirmed 3 dead individuals that were involved in the gunfight and 2 passers by were hit with stray shots. Public damage is at a minimum due to the openness of the terrain. No children were harmed physically but there were some present in view when the fight broke out.

A local security drone caught a majority of the fire fight on film, follow this link, to view the video (viewer discretion is advised). As you can see the five assailants consist of a confirmed one Troll and four Human companions. Using the images gained from the attached video we were unable to ascertain the identities of the individuals in question, Knight Errant have issued a reward for further information in the identities of those involved.

Our reporter down at the park has described the scene as horrific, the aftermath  of the fire fight has the park cordoned off by Knight Errant while forensics investigate. Our sources say that the victims are not UCAS nationals and SINS cannot be located, leading us to believe this could be possible Shadowrunner activity. The victim of the kidnapping is knows as Charlotte Foster, a worker in a small corp Allied Interactions. Could this be a corporate extraction gone awry? Who knows? If you know something please don't hesitate to let us know on the KSAF Lead site.

Well well Kitlings,

Looks as though our runners are getting themselves into some hot water. How are they going to get out of this? Will they be able to track down the brother? Will the sister know anything? I guess we will find out.

Peace out Kittlings.

Draining brains and fake seizures

Hello again kitlings,

Back with us and out intrepid group of shadowrunners who have just found the feather. Well Ladron seemed to have a seizure when she saw it, what was that all about? Who knows, just don't buy the bacon BTL. Is Ladron a secret Beetle head?

Looking through the address book they found a picture of a badly drawn feather next to an LTG number. Tracing it back to it's source found it was last used in Tacoma so it looks like it's back to the aroma for our little group. Not before Ladron called up some favours from one of her sprites. This one a slim purple sneaky woman in what seemed to be skin tight latex.

She sent this little sprite to go and find out when the device was being used. A simple task for a bunch of computer code to do while floating around in the matrix. No sooner had the taks been given when a ping came back in downtown, more specifically the ork underground. Back to downtown for our cadre.

Heading down there was easy, i mean these days it is pretty much a tourist attraction isn't it chummers? Well they went down there and they found him. The dealer in question, our feather man, was an ork with bright orange hair. They approached him and confronted him, he was slightly taken aback but dealt with it. They went back… guess where… To the Cherry Bomb, for a little talk with him.

What followed was a nice friendly chat with a drug dealer. Did he know Dagon? Yes, he was his best customer. Where did he get the feather? Online. Did he have any more? No. Why did he risk getting something he had no idea what it was from someone he didn't know? There was a lot of buzz around it as being the next big thing. Where online did he get it? A pop up site in Aztlan. What was the feather? A drug, you spear the back of your throat with it and it gives you a trip better than any BTL. What did the one that Dagon took do? It was called Brain Drain and was your standard horror trip, lots of paranoia, lots of fear, bucket loads of adrenilin, just what Dagon loved.

In all this came the gem:

'Are you a feather dealer or something?'

'What made you say that?'

'A little birdy told me.'

Ladron called up her cartel buddies, would they sell it. Sure they would if they could get some.

So Kitlings, where to now? Are we at a dead end? It seems they got everything they could from the dealer. What's going on with the group of runners that got wiped out? Who hired them? What's going on with all this feather jazz? And who are the Mexican elves?

Well, will we find out what is going on? That's it for this time Kitlings, see you again. This is Gamecat signing off.

Spies, Johnsons and Elves...
Oh my!

Tempers ran high, an argument, some accusations. Could one of our favourite runners be a corp spy? Drop Bear thought so, accusing Ladron of this heinous crime. Luckily the others talked him down and they decided to leave the barrens heading back to the Cherry Bomb. This could have been faltered by a minor security check while passing through to Bellvue.

Once back at the club they had a plan. They wanted to meet the client. The music was pumping, the night was getting livelier. Wraith went to her friend, the club owner. You see she wanted to get some new gear, a chameleon suit, too bad Ricky couldn't get one. Drop bear on the other hand went over the road to a local mum and pop shop to buy a burner commlink. Coming back to the table with his wares he gave it to Tartarus, who promptly broke the casing. He never was good with tech.

He contacted the client, they spoke briefly and agreed she would come to the club after work. At 2am she arrived, the gang spent the intervening time with getting drunk and dancing badly.

The client arrived and was met with a group wanting to give up on their search. They wanted paying more, she said she couldn't afford to pay them more than 500 each. Were there some crossed wires? They thought it was 500 to share. They showed her the note her brother left, she suggested looking at his apartment over in Darlington, an area in Everett.

What also came to light was her brothers penchant for intoxicants. He loved them, she had tried to help him int he past but there was nothing she could do. Ladron meanwhile checked her online presence fearing she was a corp spy, noticing a theme? Our young Charlotte Foster works for Allied Interactions, a subsidiary of Saeder Krupp which specialised in social media. With that she had to go and the characters retired to their beds.

The next day was another step in the investigation. They got up, they met for breakfast at the Bomb and 2 hours later they were in Everett. Ladron hacked the building security to send her a message if anyone broke into the apartment. Driving up to the building they parked up and approached.

Their first hurdle was getting into the building. This wasn't a slum, they couldn't just walk in. They walked around to the workman's entrance and knocked on the door. The super came to the door and the majority of them bluffed their way into the building by saying they were making a deliver. One didn't, Wraith decided she knew best, but it worked. No harm, no fowl.

Going up to the apartment they opened the door and well our intrepid PI lost his breakfast on the floor. The place was filthy, unwashed clothes, rotting food, all sorts of filth. Some intense searching revealed a number of things, well three. A lot of drug paraphernalia, An old fashioned address book and a clean shoe box under the bed.

Drop Bear having taken his large gun with him just in case was checking for ambushes when a call came out from the bedroom.

"Drop Bear, Come here I need you."

"But I need you, It will just take a minute." They wanted him to push the box out from under the bed with his gun.

"No, that's when the Ninjas get you!" Well, you can't argue with that logic.

Eventually they got the box out even with the warnings from Tartarus about it feeling wrong and the fact that there seemed to be no wireless signal coming from it. It was a pretty tense moment, everyone was ready for something to go bang when the box was opened. Who opened it? That will be something that no one will ever know, all that is known is that it was opened and inside lay a single cream coloured feather with a dark brown mark on its stalk.

That is when Ladron seemed to go into some sort of seizure…

Well that wasn't exactly action packed but it made some more questions come out of the woodwork. Where are the mexican elves? Where is the brother? Are there any corp spies? and what is the deal with that feather? Maybe there is a clue in that address book, who knows? Until next time this is game cat…

Signing out.

Southern Drawl
Not a sprawl.

Well howdy now Chummers,

Game cat here with the latest in the continueing saga of Drop bear, wraith and the rest of the motley rag tag bunch. First off, some tex mex big wig called up the bear they call drop. An old friend it seemed, Bill Taylor. He had a problem he wanted sorting and had heard that the bear was the way to go.

So they needed to get to texas huh? Well maybe there would be some mexican elves, maybe not? So Ladron called up her good buddy and friend la chupa cabra and they paid there way across the borders with temporary fake id's thrown in. What a bonus!

After a very uncomfortable journey they got to their destination in tact. What happens next is anyones guess.

And then there was death
this is my boom stick

The investigation into the missing person continued. Asking around the street was getting them nowhere then in a moment os inspiration Wraith asked a hobo. 45 Nuyen later they had a lead. In an alley just down the street they found a bullet hole in a bin, then more further down. They followed the bullet holes which lead them out to an opening across from the derelict train station the client directed them too.

When they went in to take a look around they noticed there were some armed people laying in wait. Wraith and Leelu sneaked around the back of the group and got them in their sights. While this was happening the rest of the group laid down suppressive fire keeping the enemy heads down while Wraith and Leelu picked them off.

10 seconds of gunfire later the remaining survivors ran away leaving corpses of their friends behind them. Drop-Bear acted fast and glomped them both keeping them down, not much can keep going once they have been Drop-Beared. They interrogated the survivors and found out where Dagon had stashed something before he left. Then they shot them… Murderers.

Stashed in a locker they discovered a note that was obviously written to his sister:

'Sis, I couldn't stay. Sorry, they were after me. They are all after me. Help me. I don't know what to do. When I escaped the lab, the runners, they helped me. I don't know what's going on, they are all dead!' The writing was erratic and rushed. Was it genuine? Or was it just the scribbled ramblings of a paranoid nut job.

So where too now? What was this lab that he mentioned? Who were these runners who apparently died? And who are those damned Mexican elves? Maybe next time we will get closer?

In the Beginning there was a johnson,
And that johnson was a lady

in the beginning there was a lady, she went to see a private eye about her brother. You see he had gone missing and she was worried as she had received a message from him over her commlink which was:

"Sis please, you gotta help! I am in real bad trouble! Please did this is serious! Meet me in that place i hid that thing that time!" The sound of gunfire rippled in the background. "PLEASE! Help me!" And the line cut off.

She offered to pay him and a team for the trouble of looking for him, she was so worried. You could say that she was desperate, desperate enough to pay a lot of Nuyen. It was an offer a private eye couldn't refuse.

And so a team was gathered for this mission of rescue. There was Ladron, a snarky Azzie technomancer, Lee-Loo an ex ganger street samurai, Wraith a covert ops specialist, Drop-Bear a Texan weapons specialist and Tartarus our intrepid P.I.

So they met in their local drinking hole a club called 'The Cherry Bomb' in downtown Seattle where Tartarus told them about the job. To locate and rescue if needed a guy called Gene 'Dagon' Foster, and they were being paid by his sister Charlotte Foster. They had found out that she was supposed to meet him in a derelict train station down in Redmond.

Ladron phoned the client and got her to forward the message to her. Then using the mystical abilities of the matrix she traced it back to where the call should have been made from. It was 2 blocks from the train station. In preparation she summoned a sprite which took the form of a german heavy hammer man called Rinehart.

After having a wash and getting ready they went over to Redmond to attempt to track down where the coms message came from. When there they got there they found they were in the Crimson Crush territory. After a short conversation which included the query:

"Speaking of the circus I believe there was a firefight here not to long ago."

They found out some mexican elves had paid the gang to steer clear and not interfere…

The plot thickens.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
